(Notice the extension)

Viva LasVegaStamps! is having a Design Team Call!! We’re looking for all types of artists and welcome anyone who has a passion for rubber stamping to apply! Bring on the Mixed Media Artists, the Card Makers, the Scrapbookers, the Altered Artists, the Scene Stampers… we want you ALL!! International welcome to apply, too!

Our terms last six months. This term will run from July 1st – December 31st and has 8 openings.

Design Team requirements during your six month term are as follows:

1) Regularly promote VLVS! through:
a. online galleries
b. your blog
c. social media like facebook, twitter, youtube, flickr and pinterest
d. and by submitting to publications.

2) Complete a minimum of two (2) projects per month to be posted on the VLVS! blog, always using only Viva Las VegaStamps! images. Your posts must include at least one over all finished photo, one detail photo, a product list with appropriate working links to our online store and a short description on how you completed the project. Keep in mind occasionally you may be asked to follow certain criteria, ie; using a given product, following a theme, or creating for the season. We may also request an additional post in which case you would only be asked to share a project as inspiration with working links to the appropriate stamps. No need for tutorials or step by steps on inspiration posts. It is important you possess the necessary skills to photograph your projects well. We want to see them in their full glory; you should be able to provide well lit, focused, center of attention photos.

3) Participate in the online private facebook group for the team. Important information like schedules, future hops, logos, links and contact information are all kept in the group. I run a lot of ideas by the team and value their honest opinions.

4) Participate in blog hops and/or product swaps. (Some may be on a volunteer basis only)

5) Mail two (2) completed projects to the store for display. This is out of your whole six month term. We love having projects posted all around the store for people to ogle as they peruse through our stamps.

In return VLVS! will:

1) Provide you with regular shipments to keep you fully stocked on supplies, including but not limited to VLVS! Stamps, Miracle Tape, Embossing powder, and any product swap goods.

2) Provide you with a detailed schedule at least 2 weeks in advance.

3) Compensate you for extra work outside of the regular schedule. This will be based upon volunteer projects and any extra hops or swaps outside of said schedule.

4) Regularly promote you and your projects through online social medias, as well as display you and your personal blog address on our company blog.

How to apply:
Create a new post on your blog with the title “Viva Las VegaStamps! DT Tryout”. Include in your post three stamped projects that best represent you and your style. I’m open to cards, ATCs, tags, scrapbook pages, etc.! Because I want to see your best work I will not limit the stamped pieces to only Viva Las VegaStamps! stamps, but I’d love to see some if you have them!

Then, in an email to me (with a subject of “VLVS! DT CALL”) please include:
- your name

I love this photo from their baby shower (Congrats!!) and the use of stamps on the layout!

Donna has used the Man and Woman symbol on the left paired with some beautiful flowers. The distressed look over the corrugated board is awesome.

She's also used Feed Your Soul along on the top. Super tender and so perfect!

Thanks for joining us Donna! We're totally blown away and appreciative of you sharing your time with us.

Extended DT CALL!

Morning Stampers!!

Just a quick note to let you know, we're extending the design team call by a week!!

We'll be participating in some upcoming festivities and want to celebrate FULLY!

I Dare You... to Take a Chance and Stamp!

Welcome to Viva Las Vegastamps! May is over tomorrow - where did the month go? Susan here today for some super fun birthday cards. What do crafty pals do when they are already pushing the time envelope??? They dare each other to do something WILD and CRAZY... just for fun.

DeeDee, our team leader and I have dared each other to enter the Gallery Idol Competition. If we make the top twenty selected that move on to round two tomorrow - we will be entering JUNE MADNESS. I am on the edge of my seat waiting to hear and see what the next challenge will be. And even if we don't make the cut - we are still going to complete all the challenge round themes. It's going to be a blast!

For the first round audition round theme was birthday cards for kids and teens. So FUN! This was a challenge - BUT - with the my huge stash of Viva Las VegaStamps! at my disposal, I was able to enter some really fun cards. This fun card using "Hippo with Party Hat" #1454 is one of my entries. I had about five different cards in the works and she made the cut. I made my own tissue tape with Miracle Tape and Miracle Sheets. The colored tissue comes with a tissue wrap with the printed "happy birthday" on it; except for the yellow. The yellow tissue section I created by stamping the "Happy Happy Birthday" #10479 stamp repeatedly in Milled Lavendar Ranger Distress Ink. The green tissue at the top is recycled from a gift I received {I've been having fun using this craftily}. I fussy cut an hand colored my party girl with my Ranger Distress Markers and grounded her on a strip of grey spotted washi tape. I finished her off with some eyelash googlie eyes - no card is complete until you add some GOOGLIES! The bright colored tissue really makes the party girl pop.

Now for another card using "Alligator Present" #9129. This is so fun and festive! I didn't enter this one, but one can never have too many birthday cards on hand. I just totally fell in love with this stamp and it made me laugh out loud. It has a blank little tag in the image and the "Don't Freak Me Out" #18327 fit perfectly in it's place. Stamped in black on yellow painted paper with Mustard Seed Ranger Distress Ink and hand colored with my markers. I added some shimmery details and polka dots with my Gelly Roll Stardust pen. The border is the "Happy Happy Birthday" #10479 stamped about 10 times to create a pattern stripe using Clearsnap Colorbox Khaki Green Dye ink.

**TIP FOR THE DAY** Try out different themed stamps for different occasions. Play around and have fun! Cut your images apart to use just a section, or stamp a repeating pattern. This gives you endless possibilities with your stash of rubber.

Aren't these cards fun with just a few stamps???

Now for a DARE... I challenge all of you to play along, too and share your Viva Las VegaStamps! creations with us on the Viva Las VegaStamps! Facebook page. The Gallery Idol challenge will be announced sometime on Friday... we can't wait!

House of Whimsy Tag

This is my house of whimsy.  All stamps from the fabulous Viva Las VegaStamps!  They include:
Whimsical House
Whimsical Cloud
Another Whimsical Cloud
Pure Imagination

I used all kinds of colors - acrylic paints - on the tag.  The Gelli plate was helpful!  Images were stamped and trimmed from patterned papers.
These I then glued directly to the tag using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.  Final touch was to outline each piece with silver pen and voila!  Some pre-summer sun on a tag!
